How to get the most of your 1st Lesson and subsequent lessons?

Quite often your first lesson will be an isolated booking to allow you to see how the lesson goes and to justify taking more lessons. As a coach I completely understand this and always strive to give you the best lesson possible within your first session. Problems often occur with this however when the time needed to get your game in shape is considerably longer than an hour, with numerous bad habits to fix and with it being possible that the work needed may not be achievable even within 3 hours ! Typically, a coach will spend 25% to 50% just getting to know your game and swing before they even start the lesson process. To make any first lesson as productive as possible I always recommend receiving as much information as possible from you and this includes a video of your current swing from both down the target line and chest on view and with the club that needs to be worked on. This allows me to plan the lesson and to hit the ground running quickly, with your chances of instant results being increased dramatically. It also allows me to make longer term lesson plans that break down the lesson points into step-by-step elements you are more likely to achieve. I have had numerous success stories with clients when these details have been given with all taking greater improvement from their 1st session .
